From grief we can grow
You don't have to face this alone or try to be supported by people who just don't understand
Hey there
I'm Kate (BA Hons)
Integrative Counsellor / Grief Coach
The path that led me to this work wasn't a straight one; it was formed out of my own experience of loss.

I know what it feels like to be hit by panic attacks out of nowhere. To feel numb, overwhelmed, and completely without motivation. To be consumed by sadness and unable to see how things could ever be different. Grief has a way of making the world feel very small and very heavy all at once.

With the right support from both therapists and coaches, I found my way through the heaviness. Out of that darkness came a whole new sense of purpose, a new career, and a life I genuinely love. That journey is the reason I do this work, and it's why I care so deeply about the people who find their way to me.

My approach

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach to grief. Instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural approaches, to tailor the work we do together specifically to you. Every person's grief is unique, and your support should be too.

Alongside counselling, I am a trained grief coach and this means I can offer both a deeper therapeutic space for processing painful emotions and a forward-focused, strengths-based approach when you're ready to start building hope and resilience.

I also use grief recovery method techniques as part of my toolkit - a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding and moving through the pain of loss.

Together, we work with the duality of grief, the idea that you can feel deep sadness and still find moments of joy, that you can carry your loss and still build a life you love. I help you find the glimmers in your day.
